Properties: Rhodium trichloride, also known as rhodium chloride, is a reddish-brown powder, easily deliquescent. poisonous! The molecular weight is 209.26 (anhydrous), and the melting point is 450-500°C (decomposition). Boiling point is 800℃ (sublimation). To produce polyfluoride above 600 ℃. It can be reduced by hydrogen at 70°C. It is insoluble in water, acid and aqua regia, but soluble in methanol and cyanide solution. Decompose by heating in concentrated acid (nitric acid, sulfuric acid). It can interact with metals such as sodium, aluminum, magnesium and iron when heated.
Application
Used in electronics, instrumentation, metallurgy and other industries, also used in electroplating operations, catalyst preparation.
